Who Am I and Why This Blog?

A little about me

Hi and welcome — I’m Ladina.

Originally from Switzerland, I’ve been happily calling Paris home for the past ten years — the city of light, culture, and bons vivants.

Art and culture have always been the backdrop of my life, but for a long time, I didn’t think they could be the main story. I first studied Multilingual Communication at the University of Zurich, followed by Art Management at PSL Paris Dauphine. After a few years in communications agencies, I felt the pull of the cultural world and finally gave in. Since then, I’ve tried on many different hats: assisting in a gallery, building partnerships for an art foundation, raising funds for a performing arts nonprofit, and representing artists as an agent. Each experience was like looking at art from a new angle — showing me fresh ways it can move, inspire, and connect people.

Today, I work as a freelance art consultant — a role that allows me to bring together my love for storytelling, culture, and creativity in a way that feels both professional and deeply personal.

Oh, and as a sidenote: in the picture you see me at the JO-HS Gallery in Mexico City, one of the coolest cities I have ever been to. I was there in January 2024 and at that time, I was lucky enough to see the group show “Sensaciones,” a show featuring work by thirteen artists.

This art show features artists who use their creative work to explore and respond to the everyday world around them. The artists transform their thoughts and feelings into physical art pieces, offering us new ways to understand and experience the past and the present, which helps us move forward with more purpose and honesty. By looking at the art, you’ll see common themes and techniques that create new connections between the artists and their work. More info here: https://jo-hs.com/Sensaciones

The aim of Art Projects Connect

The arts awaken intellectual functions, stir emotions, and stimulate the imagination!

This blog is about making art more accessible, fostering connections, and exploring creative projects that support community and individual well-being.

Here are the six main themes I’ll be exploring:

  1. Exhibition Reviews — personal, accessible, sometimes critical, sometimes fun
  1. Interviews — with artists, curators, consultants, and cultural professionals
  1. Art Concepts — unpacking art history, theories, stories, and trends, with a focus on sustainability and science
  1. Art Management — career tips and reflections for artists and art enthusiasts
  1. Books & Book Club — recommendations, reviews, and maybe a future reading circle
  1. Projects & Collaborations — sharing ongoing initiatives and new ideas

✨ That’s the journey so far, and this is the beginning of Art Projects Connect.

I’m always happy to meet new art enthusiasts for coffee. If you’re in Paris or Valencia—as I’m currently living between these two cities—feel free to reach out!
